The principle of the laboratory water distiller is to use electricity to heat tap water to produce pure water, and to prepare distilled water by using the principle of liquid vaporization when it is heated and liquefaction when it is cold. The water distillers used in laboratories and other departments are generally made of high-quality stainless steel materials and processed after special treatment. This not only fully guarantees the quality of distilled water, but also greatly improves the service life.

The operation procedure of laboratory water distiller is divided into 7 steps:
1. Close the water valve first.
2. Open the water source valve, let the tap water enter the condenser from the water inlet control valve, and then pour into the evaporator from the return water valve, until the water level rises to the center of the glass water level gauge, then close the water valve.
3. Turn on the power supply, when the water boils and the distilled water drips out, open the water source valve again, and adjust it until the cooling water overflows to about 70°C, and the temperature of the distilled water is preferably around 40°C.
4. The distilled water outlet pipe uses a smooth silicone rubber catheter to guide it into clean glass distilled water.
5. Wash the interior once a day before use, drain the stored water, and replace with fresh water to ensure water quality.
6. The scale in the distilled water tank can be washed with weak acid or weak alkali solution, which is convenient and thorough to remove.
7. The newly purchased distilled water device should be cleaned first, and then evaporated with electricity for more than 2 hours until the distilled water meets the requirements of the Pharmacopoeia.
